Metal Test

It has been said that peace (Heb. shalom) will be the single greatest distinguishing mark upon the life of the believer in the end-times. We are living in that time, complete with its sinister, despicable, base, disloyal, unfaithful, off-the-wall, and out-of-nowhere reality. Influences come from so many sources all at once to challenge our senses and test our trust that His shalom will be the fruit in our lives in the midst of it all.

Among leaders, the one with peace of heart and mind has literally come to this hour for this time.  For them, much depends upon God’s peace being resident—on the scene and ready to go—as umpire for their authority to govern. Visionaries too, trained in a less troubled time, are tested at their very core.

For all who are in the test, don’t back off! You have an eagle’s eye and your discernment is sharp. Pull close every spiritual sharpshooter you know and keep one on each flank at all times. Ask wise men for counsel. Stay humble; the precursor of failure is pride. Increase expectation anytime you are tested—always sow in famine! Make room for more quality time with the Lord. Laugh a lot.

You are a strategic company, brought forth for this time. With every step, the test measures you and shows… you have it!

Shalom—all is well!

Amen.

Covenant of Deliverance

Covenant of Deliverance

“Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah—not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the LORD. But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.”” (Jeremiah 31:33-34; Hebrews 8-9-10)

The covenant between God and Abram meant protection for Abram and Sarah and their family line, including every future generation. In fact, the covenant assured provision for God’s man and his descendants in every way, in every detail of life.

From ancient times and still today, the Jewish people have a covenant that again and again proves to be the undoing of their enemies; again and again, God’s loving-kindness for Israel has redeemed missteps that drew them away from His covering. The anchor of God’s love for His people holds them safely under His watch care.

God’s ancient blessing of covenant protection points us to His lordship. His love allowed Israel’s unfaithfulness to surface—a saga born of going their own way. Still, God’s love for them did not decrease but remained.

God’s love for Israel is made clear in His creation of a people and land of great, great blessing. His blessing has prospered them, which is how we know His deliverance is a powerful part of the Jewish covenant and our Christian inheritance.

Amen—thank God!
